Local Presence

The definition of local presence is technology that allows sales reps to dynamically usa a local area code when dialing contacts. The technology is employed to improve live answer rates for organizations who frequently dial from out of area, or using a toll-free number. Research shows that contacts are more likely to answer the phone when they recognize the area code as local.

Local presence is often a feature available with sales and power dialing platforms (ie. PhoneBurner’s Local ID). The feature grants a client access to local numbers in the specific cities or locales needed, and automatically updates on a call-by-call basis to route the call from an appropriate area code.
