Auto Dialer

An auto dialer, also known as an autodialer or automatic dialer, is equipment or software that automatically dials through a list of phone numbers. When a call is answered live, the auto dialer can be programmed to play a recorded message or transfer the call to an agent. The hallmark of an auto dialer is that no agent is live on the line when someone answers the phone.

Auto dialing is an efficient and inexpensive way of disseminating information to a group of contacts, however it has significant limitations in the sales sphere, due to its abrupt and impersonal experience.
